CardKong — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
CardKong (the “App”), operated by Yescomet, keeps your loyalty and discount cards, reads new ones from a photo, and points you to the shops where they are useful. This policy is the short version of a simple idea: the App knows about your cards, and nothing about you.
There is no account
You never tell us your name, phone number, or email address to use the App. On first launch our server issues an anonymous installation identifier, which is stored on your device and links your cards to your copy of the App. It is tied to nothing else — not your Apple ID, not an advertising identifier, not any profile of you.
What the App never does
- No third-party ad networks, no analytics, no tracking SDKs of any kind are built into the App.
- We do not follow you across other apps or websites, and we do not combine what you do here with data from anywhere else.
- We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell, rent, or trade your data.
- We do not record what you look at in the App — which cards you open, which offers you read, which of them you save. That stays on your device.
Advertising
The App may show ads — offers and coupons from retail brands. They are picked by country, category, and distance to the shop; nothing about you goes into that choice, and nothing about you goes back to the brand.
What we keep on our servers
- Your cards. Saved under your anonymous installation identifier, so they survive a reinstall and can be corrected when a brand is misread. We hold nothing beyond what is on the card itself.
- Card photos — briefly. When you add a card by photo, the images reach our servers and a third-party AI service, which reads the store name, barcode, and colours from them. We delete them as soon as we have checked that the reading was correct, and in any case within 30 days. A photo of the front may show your name if it is printed on the card, so adding a card manually is always an option.
- Nothing from the support form. When you write to us, your message — with your platform, app version, language, and the email address you optionally offer — goes straight to our team chat and is not stored on our servers at all. Only if that delivery fails does it wait on our side until we have read it.
Where you are
If you allow location access, your coordinates travel with a request so the answer can be sorted by distance, and are used for nothing else — we do not store them. Refuse the permission and the App works exactly as before, minus the “nearby” ordering.
Sharing a card
When you share a card, we create a link that lets whoever opens it copy that card’s details. Photos are never part of a shared link, precisely because they can show your name. The link works until you revoke it in the App, which you can do at any time.
Who else is involved
Three, all strictly in service of the App: the AI provider that reads your card photos, the hosting provider that runs our servers, and Telegram, which carries your support messages to our team. Shop locations come from OpenStreetMap and carry no information about you. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it.
How long things last
Your cards stay until you delete them in the App. Their photos go much sooner — as soon as we have checked that the reading was correct, and never later than 30 days after upload. Support messages are not kept at all — they live in our team chat, not in a database of ours. To have everything tied to your installation erased, write to us from the App’s support form, so we know which installation to erase.
Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 — or under the higher age your country sets for consenting to online services — and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Deleting a card in the App removes it from your copy; uninstalling the App removes everything stored locally on your device.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it.
